Participation and Application Guide

Eligibility

Anyone who can create videos using generative AI technology

※ No restrictions on nationality, gender, age, team composition, etc. ※ Award winners must be able to attend the awards ceremony without issues entering and staying in the Republic of Korea.

How to Apply

  • Submit through the official Jeju AI International Film Festival website
  • Submit through the “Film Freeway” platform
※ The official website and Film Freeway submission pages will open according to the submission period.

Submission Conditions

  • • Applicants must read and comply with the contest operation rules when submitting works.
  • • Each individual or team may submit up to 3 works.

    - General Competition Category: Up to 1 work - Jeju IP Special Category: Up to 2 works (maximum 1 work per session)
  • • Works submitted to the Jeju IP Special Category may also be submitted to the General Competition Category. However, duplicate awards for the same work will be decided by the judging committee.

    ※ If the same work or multiple works by the same participant become eligible for awards in multiple categories, the judging committee may adjust the winning works in consideration of diversity and the purpose of the contest.
  • • Works submitted to the Jeju IP Special Category must comply with the IP and theme guidelines provided or designated for each session.

  • • Only works produced on or after January 1, 2026 may be submitted.

  • • Generative AI technology must be used in all or part of the work, accounting for at least 90% of the production. The use of generative AI technology is included in the judging criteria.

Selection Method and Criteria

July ~ August 2026 ※ The schedule may change depending on internal and external circumstances of the institute.
Judging Method

- 1st Round: Review of submitted files (application form requirements and authenticity of AI use)

- 2nd Round: Online review by a judging committee composed of up to 5 external experts (selection of twice the number of finalists)

- 3rd Round: Offline review by a judging committee composed of up to 5 external experts (final selection)

※ For the Jeju IP Special Category, external experts in each relevant session field will be appointed separately as judges.
